Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) Program

(In-Person or Online)

Career Highlights

As a patient care technician (PCT) you will provide direct care to patients, including helping with daily activities and monitoring vital signs. PCTs work under the supervision of nurses or other healthcare providers. They observe, document, and communicate needs and concerns to medical staff while reporting any changes in status to the patient's care team. They help patients feel comfortable and cared for, which often requires them to provide emotional support and guidance during their hospital stay or clinic visit.
