POCI's Health Care Camp Offers
Hands-On Experience
for Rising 10th - 12th Graders!
Are you a high school student or know a student interested in learning more about the medical field?
Purple Owl Career Institute is holding a SCRUBS Camp this summer, July 13th - 17th. The five-day camp is open to rising high-school sophomores through seniors who are interested in the medical field.
There will be many hands-on experiences related to different medical fields, such as nursing, medical assisting, phlebotomy, pharmacy, EMS, health and wellness, and more!
This is a great opportunity for students trying to decide what area of healthcare they may be interested in.
At SCRUBS Camp, students:
- Are exposed to classroom as well as clinical experiences.
- Are exposed to anatomy and medical terminology.
- Learn about various health care professions.
- Learn the basics of patient care.
- Observe real-time medical procedures.
- Make new friends with other students.
- Meet health care professionals, and have an opportunity to ask them questions about what they do — and why they do it.
- Can use the camp to demonstrate experience and initiative on college applications.
- Get to know POCI’s team members and take home lots of free, cool stuff!
